[00:00:02] Welcome to Tell Me A Ghost Story, The Late Night Colin podcast where we delve into the world of the supernatural and explore the eerie and unexplained. I'm your host Michelle Newman. This podcast features true stories from our callers that will send shivers down your spine
[00:00:34] and leave you questioning the existence of the afterlife. So grab a cozy blanket, turn down the lights. Hi I'm Nikki. I'm from Cleveland, Ohio. And I have a ghost story. When I was a little girl I saw a ghost and I saw my mom about it.
[00:01:01] My mom didn't believe me. I saw some male sitting on the table from the previous owner and also male saying that the previous owner was in a nursing home. And his name was Oscar.
[00:01:18] And one day I thought that I saw a huge dark figure while I was sitting at the table and I ran into my mom about it and she said, oh he didn't see anything.
[00:01:31] But it felt funny because later on that week I heard her talking on the phone saying that she was so scared to turn around because she knew that something was behind her. So fast forward years later I've always thought about that and it wasn't until I was an
[00:01:54] adult. But I had just got into an argument with my fiance about something stupid. He slammed the door so I thought that he left the house. So I had my hair phone borne, I was upset and I was washing dishes that night.
[00:02:13] And I felt like something was behind me. I felt that he was behind me. And I turned around and it was not my husband, or my fiance at the time but it was a tall dark black figure. And the way that it looked at me.
[00:02:29] Now it was a dark blob so I didn't know they were the person or anything like that. It was just a tall black mask. I felt like it was a him and he was surprised that I saw him.
[00:02:49] And the communication that I got from it was, oh my god you can see me? I'm like yes I can totally see you. And he flew into the wall. What I saw was a big tall black mask and it was a ghost.
[00:03:08] So my fiance was like what's wrong? And I could not speak. And you know I am a big paranormal fan and I listen to these paranormal stories and I hear
[00:03:21] this thing all the time about how like yeah the hair is in the back of my neck with like being stood up and it was so prickly. It is true. The feeling that I felt on the back of my neck, the prickly, crawly, icky feeling
[00:03:40] I never want to experience that again. I had to sit down and I sat on the floor for a little bit and I told him I said you have to give me a minute. I'm not scared. But I just saw a ghost. Thank you, Nikki.
[00:03:56] Goose bumps are a fascinating phenomenon. They are also known as goose pimples, turkey bumps or duck bumps. These bumps are caused by a contraction of miniature muscles that are attached to each hair to literally make your hair stand on end.
[00:04:16] This could happen when you feel cold, naturally, hear a beautiful piece of music or feel threatened. Next message. Hi, Michelle. This is Amari again. I have like a hiking story. When I was 20, I went through like the really nasty breakup, moved across country to live
[00:04:44] with the love of my life. I had to move back because it didn't work out when I got home. I moved in with a friend but obviously wanted my family around and my mom and my sister are huge hikers.
[00:04:57] So we went to hike just to get our heads cleared and for some reason feel like we need to do something big to get over heartbreak. So we hiked for a good like six to seven hours in our local area.
[00:05:14] There's trails that you can do easy, moderate or hard and we did the hard and we made it out to look out. So we, I think it was like four hours up one way and four hours out but we went there like
[00:05:27] super early in the morning before the sun even came up. So you know, we're having a good time talking and enjoying the views. You know, I felt really better after the whole breakup and everything and just spending time with my family.
[00:05:43] We spent too much time on the outlook so we saw like the sun was going down. It was a sunset. It was beautiful but we had to get going. So we were going, we took the easy trail back.
[00:05:56] When we were going back my mom was like, oh imagine if something happened, you know, we are in the mountains and we're all like, stop, you don't say stuff like that. And we heard drums. We heard drums like banging and we were like, do you hear that?
[00:06:17] We were all like, we wanted to acknowledge it but at the same time we're like, why? Drums? Like mind you, we had to drive all the way up to this place. There's nothing per miles.
[00:06:30] And you know, we wouldn't hear it super strong but we heard it light enough to know that it was in the distance. So my mom was like, well maybe someone else is having a redemption moment and they want to play the drum as the sun goes down.
[00:06:49] So we're trying to validate it and we keep going on our way out. It got kind of dark where we kind of couldn't see the trail anymore. We had like flashlights and stuff and the drums got louder.
[00:07:02] So we were like, well that's weird but again we acknowledged it but we just kept going. Like later that night because we got home late, we went to McDonald's, we ate, we came back home. I researched the trail we were on, the mountain that we were on.
[00:07:20] A website came up and it actually brought up like a myth about since we were like on Indian ground the mountain was named after an Indian tribe of the area. There about a woman who at the tip of the top of the outlook was murdered, killed.
[00:07:43] She like I think it relieved her husband went up there with her and a brawl happened and because she was with her husband they killed her as well and her husband. So the legend goes is that she plays the drum to try to find her husband.
[00:08:05] Like this was a makeshift website. Like it really looked like something some student made out of like as a school project. But a lot of websites do have the myth of the woman but instead like they have the drums
[00:08:22] but most of the website state that if you stay out long enough on the outlook all the way at the tip top you will see her floating around looking for her lost husband that was murdered. Thank you for your story Amari. I don't know what's more scary.
[00:08:44] The thought of it being paranormal or stumbling across a group of random people drumming in the woods at night. That's all we have this week folks. Do you have a ghost story? Call 701-484-2666 That's 701-484-2666 Or go to tellmeaghoststory.com and leave your story there.
