[00:01:05] I'll just explain. So I had just moved to Los Angeles, I was in my early 20s kind of fresh out of college and I was living in downtown in the arts district in a big loft like like imagine like the loft

[00:01:23] in the movie big like it's kind of it was like that it were just like open floor plan really spacious you know just mean two other guys who are also in their early 20s. It was yeah it was a dream really dreamy place to live.

[00:01:42] And I was there late one night by myself and I was I was drawing or working on something and it was like late at night and all of a sudden on the other side of the loft I

[00:02:01] was in the kitchen table and then from the other side of the loft I hear a carl off. And I was like yes like hello because it was like I could it wasn't like in my head like

[00:02:20] it was in the room like very clearly in the room and I walked to the other side and like looked around the corner and yeah there was like definitely no one there and

[00:02:31] it was just like it was just really strange because I'm not like I don't hallucinate like I don't I'm yeah it's just like not hearing voices is not part of my history. The next day I'm in like the courtyard and my upstairs neighbors they've been living in

[00:02:51] the lofts for a long time and they actually used to live in my loft now they live on the top floor but back when they were you know 10 years ago or whatever 15 years ago they lived

[00:03:01] in the loft I was living in and I was like hey guys just like real quick kind of random but like is is the loft haunted because like I heard I heard someone say my name

[00:03:17] last night and it was just kind of like it was really strange and they just like they're a husband and wife and they just like look at each other and then they look at me and they go

[00:03:27] Daisy and I was like Daisy and they're like yeah Daisy and they explain that like when they were like in art school like then they're living in the loft they had this like friend named Daisy

[00:03:42] who apparently just like cherished the loft and it wasn't like it was a really special place so I get it and they're like she loved it and then somehow I don't I remember like what the

[00:03:56] terminal illness was but she came down like like some disease that she ended up dying and it was very like you know a young tragic sad thing but they're like she just never left she was just

[00:04:10] always with us in the loft and they're like you know sometimes still to this day like if we feel like we're stuck or like need some advice like well I just call out to Daisy and you know

[00:04:24] like the lights will flicker or like you know she'll like find a way to like interact and I was like that's pretty wild and I think I probably lived there for like another year two years after that and Daisy called my name probably about three more times and

[00:04:44] but she would hang out with me a lot and when I was taking a shower and like I would be like in the shower it was like a big bathtub shower like a circular curtain around it and I could see her

[00:04:59] out of the corner of my eye like standing in the corner of the room and like when I would like turn to look at her it would be like in a movie where there's like a crossfade where like

[00:05:09] we dissolve into the next scene and she would just like disappear as I would turn not out so I just start talking to her like Daisy like you can hang out with me like I don't mind

[00:05:18] I don't mind you being here with me like it's fine and when I even started asking her for advice like I remember this one night like I was really broke at the time and I finally got like a check

[00:05:32] in the mail and it was like late at night and I was probably like overdrawn and my bank was like right on the edge of Skid Row and this was yeah I mean it's Skid Row it's not not ideal especially

[00:05:45] like late at night and I was really like on the verge of like I should just go deposit this check so like I can just get the process started to like not be overdrawn but then like on my way out

[00:05:59] like I just felt Daisy be like no don't go and I was like Daisy and I could just like feel Daisy holding me back being like don't don't don't go do this right now it's like one in the morning

[00:06:13] don't don't go deposit a check in Skid Row at one in the morning there's better things to do with your time and when I left the loft I like remember like when it was empty just being like

[00:06:28] hi Daisy I'm gonna miss you thank you for like your company while it's here like your good ghost yeah and that was my story with Daisy yeah Daisy the sweetheart thank you Carlo Daisy sounds like a great roommate if you get locked out she can use

[00:06:48] her spare spooky to get you back in but the trick is getting her to split the rent because nobody can afford it get it no body because she's a ghost next message hi my name is Heather I'm calling from Mesa Arizona I have experienced a good ghost story

[00:07:18] a couple years ago I did stay at the Grand Hotel in Jerome Arizona which is very haunted I was in my room it was nighttime we were asleep and I hear someone tell me can you turn the TV off

[00:07:37] I look over my friend is asleep the tv is off I just ignored it went back to sleep few minutes later felt someone tap on my shoulder can you turn the TV down

[00:07:50] in a whisper looked over tv still wasn't on um few minutes later go back to sleep wake up see the hotel door bedroom door shut and that was it um it did ask me several times I turned on

[00:08:13] my tv my use was in a remote control TV this was a tv I had to get off and turn up and down so yeah that's my scary ghost story thank you thank you Heather for calling in

[00:08:32] that ghost probably went to complain to the manager about all the noise but how do you explain to a ghost they are the noise next message hi this is Greg from Echo Park and I have a ghost story my house growing up

[00:08:54] we moved into it when I was five and my parents let all of us know my two brothers and I know that there was a murder suicide in the house before we moved in there and the husband blew his

[00:09:10] brains out with a shotgun in the yard and the wife was dead in the house anyway they let us know that and told us that this particular bedroom was haunted and they would lock us in that room if we

[00:09:26] were in trouble and my little brother is the one who saw this ghost the most but I also saw it and everyone called it the lady in white and the whole family had different times where they saw

[00:09:40] the lady in white one time when I was maybe eight or nine I was alone in the room that we were all sleeping in my brothers and I slept in the same room till I was like 10 and I was in there

[00:09:54] it was during the day everyone was outside in the back and there was this bathroom that went through two rooms so it was like room bathroom and then another room and I opened both rooms the doors

[00:10:04] were open and I looked and there was the lady in white just standing there in this white dress just looking at me and I was terrified and I was sitting on the bed and I put the sheet over

[00:10:13] my head but it was you know very bright it was daytime I could see through the sheet and I could see her staring at me and I just stared at her and she just stared at me and this happened for

[00:10:24] I don't even know how long it could have been a half hour an hour and then I just closed my eyes and stayed under the sheet and then I eventually fell asleep and when I woke up it was

[00:10:33] still daytime and she was gone and that was my encounter with the lady in white thank you Greg for sharing that story you know what's fascinating is that countries all over the world have versions of the legend of the woman in white she's typically dressed in a white

[00:10:53] dress or something similar she's reportedly seen in rural areas associated with local tragedy and common to many of these legends is an accidental death suicide or murder the theme of loss and betrayal by a husband fiancee or unrequited love I'm Michelle this is from the low-paints

[00:11:15] and I'm here to share you one of the scariest experience I've ever had in my life and I had a few scary stories that I can't tell you about but this one just takes the cake

[00:11:33] so it was possibly around 2002 to 2004 I went right next door to my auntie to use her computer because I didn't have one so I was in the living room slash dining room and I like keeping all the

[00:11:52] lights turned off so every light was turned off it was in the afternoons with perfect light which is coming in through the windows and while I was browsing the internet I just felt something

[00:12:06] weird you see I am not a stranger to the paranormal I've experienced it since I was a kid and it only stopped when I went to college but I've been so used to it that it really didn't bother me

[00:12:26] so when I felt something as if it was looking at the back of my head like thinking possibly it wanted me out of there I just felt so uncomfortable and that's not normal

[00:12:47] because I feel and see things or at least I used to when I was living there with my parents and when I felt that it just felt so unusual because I never would feel

[00:13:04] uncomfortable or unwanted whenever that happens so I just turned off the computer packed out my stuff and then tried to exit to go upstairs um my mom's house and my auntie's house her sister

[00:13:20] has a balcony that's connected so I can just walk off walk out the door upstairs and then I can get into my house which is our house second floor so I was waking I was making my way

[00:13:36] up the stairs and at the time or by the time I've reached the top of the stairs I had this feeling to look back down the stairs I wish that I didn't have to or I wish that I

[00:13:52] didn't at all but I did and I saw a black figure it was weird because like I said I could see the light coming in from outside the home but I could clearly see a silhouette of something

[00:14:14] shaped like a human and I think by the time it saw that I saw it it started bolting out the stairs which caused me to run down the hallway out the out the door right next to the master's bedroom

[00:14:32] and I slammed the door behind me my aunt at that time was freaked out she said why you have to slam a door why do you have to run what's happening and then it was like it's free we are it's like

[00:14:47] something was following me something ran from the bottom of the stairs to top the stairs and just started running after me and even before I had the chance to slam the door I could see

[00:14:58] the shadow like just rushing running towards me and the reason why I know that it's true aside from that I've seen a lot in my childhood and being a teen is that the next day from when it happened I

[00:15:22] talked to my auntie and she confirmed that she saw what I saw only with the precaution not to acknowledge it the next time because apparently when I acknowledged it at the time it actually

[00:15:40] stayed standing right next to her as she slept and she couldn't sleep because it wouldn't go away so that's my story um see you around Michelle thank you avon for calling in I admire your

[00:15:57] aunt's practicality in these matters a good night's sleep is paramount I on the other hand may never sleep again next message hi my name is Hector and I'm from New Mexico and this is more of a personal experience that I've had what started happening in 2013

[00:16:26] it wasn't necessarily seeing any ghosts or apparitions but more of being physically touched or scratched or attacked however you want to interpret that the first time this happened

[00:16:40] to me was in 2013 and I had went to my local gym came home got ready for the day and as I was getting ready I noticed I had three long scratches on the back of my forearm don't know how those

[00:16:57] scratches appeared or where they came from so I took a picture of it only because it was just one of those situations that's kind of hard to believe that something like that happens

[00:17:10] wasn't necessarily scared but definitely questioned a lot of things that go on and as far as me trying to debunk it I just wasn't able to and so this went on over the course of the next 10 years

[00:17:29] there would be times where I would just be doing normal everyday things and I would get scratched sometimes it was two scratches sometimes it was three scratches so the most intense experience

[00:17:47] I've had with that was one night and I had a nightmare of something just kind of evil menacing figure they were short maybe the height of a young adult maybe and they had this menacing

[00:18:08] look on their face and they were kind of laughing and then they had approached me and then they just kind of sped off in the other direction like at the speed of light it was insane

[00:18:19] it was pretty insane well I woke up and it was 3 33 in the morning so the following night sleeping sound asleep and I hear this loud banging like just a solid bang

[00:18:39] a loud enough to wake me up now my bedroom door at the time I always kept it shut and it was just a janky door that you had to kind of forcefully push to close it and kind of pull

[00:18:51] to open well when I heard this loud bang I woke up I checked the time it was 3 33 in the morning and once I got my senses about me I looked over and sure enough my door was open it wasn't open all

[00:19:10] the way but it was open to where I knew that I didn't get up and open the door and so when I got out of bed I just felt a really bad sensation had the chills up and down my body all my senses

[00:19:30] were heightened it's just something felt like it was there for a brief moment that shouldn't be there and after those few moments the air was a little lighter I felt okay after that but that was probably the the most intense experience that I had with that now

[00:19:52] what do these scratches mean I have no idea they do happen in threes a lot more than anything sometimes it's a single scratch I'm at a point now where I'm kind of just used to it doesn't

[00:20:06] really bother me because I don't let things like that bother me and again you know just open to one's own personal beliefs you know I don't believe that anyone's particular belief is right or wrong

[00:20:20] definitely um I do keep an open mind about it but uh just wanted to uh share that story thanks thanks Hector for your story 3 33 a.m known to many as the witching hour is thought to be a time

[00:20:39] when the veil separating our dimension from the next is at its thinnest it sounds like you might have accidentally caught a glimpse of your scratcher next message hi my name is Deborah from Seattle

[00:20:56] I wanted to tell you about the seance that was at Fort Wright college back in the early 70s there were eight people at nine o'clock one more arrived making nine the reasons they decided to do

[00:21:12] a seance were kind of confused everybody was um grieving a death of somebody that had happened in vietnam and it was a college student and uh it was just something that kind of spurred people's

[00:21:29] interest in what was going on after life and all that sort of thing one of these uh things that happened that we didn't know was happening at the time fact that there'd been a mass in the

[00:21:44] theater where we were we were in a theater for some reason they hadn't used the chapel for the mass this is a catholic college with a lot of nuns and the tablecloth used in the mass was also used in the seance you begin the seance and then

[00:22:03] your low lights everything's very quiet and suddenly one of the people and I think her name was dawn I don't remember one of the girls starts sort of trancing out talking to somebody

[00:22:18] that's not there and she's talking to a couple of little children and they say she said I don't know I don't know where I don't know what to do about this I don't know what to do

[00:22:30] about this to the the children and they were apparently they were dead they were ghosts and she saw them and she said that somebody had taken their bodies and thrown them away and they were looking for their bodies and then after talking with them a little bit

[00:22:52] and starting to cry she's starting to cry and apparently the children were crying too and she started to cry and all of a sudden they went away and she said they're gone

[00:23:05] and suddenly the room was very heavy and where we were in the theater we were up on the stage using this table that had been used during the mass and we were sitting in a circle and

[00:23:22] the person who was sitting with her back to the audience suddenly turned around as if she'd heard something in the lobby and we all wondered if somebody wandered in or something like that but it was still very heavy atmosphere and suddenly we became very quiet and tried

[00:23:41] to listen to what was going on because we knew the door was locked in the lobby this time no one could have come in and all of a sudden we started hearing these kind of strange footsteps they weren't

[00:23:56] actually like somebody bustling about in the lobby it was like very deliberate clicking sound footsteps as if somebody had boots of some kind old style boots on a hard floor

[00:24:14] that's very strange because most of the lobby a lot of the lobby if you came in through the theater through the audience from the lobby a great deal of that's carpeted that's not hard floor it's

[00:24:26] just that we heard click click click like a like about that pace and the sound didn't stay out there it kind of got up close to us and at first it was like on stage right and then it was on stage left

[00:24:45] and we all kind of turned our attention toward it I don't think it was imaginary I I think that you know everybody kind of turned in unison when they heard it and then it suddenly kind of

[00:25:03] as if it you know like walked out through the back of the theater or something like that you know like straight back and so we don't really know what that was except that you know when it stopped

[00:25:17] making that noise um it you know the feeling kind of lifted thank you debora leave it to the theater kids to summon the devil hi this is nellie again from clinton millingoy I was 12

[00:25:36] years old I remember I was sleeping on my back and I just woke up and I looked straight ahead and I see this little girl I know it's it sounds it's crazy but I see this little girl sitting on the

[00:26:05] bed and the way she looked was um she had black hair like I can see her clearly she had black hair I can see her brown eyes she looked like she was sitting on the bed and she was smiling at me

[00:26:26] and I also said a while I'm looking at her she makes these these gestures that oh I'm falling and she was like waving her arms like she was falling and then she leans back and I don't see her

[00:26:47] anymore I was not sure if it was because I was half asleep um I'm not sure what it was and I just went back to bed until till this day I still think about that another occurrence was when

[00:27:12] and I was in the bathroom I was um it was a night time getting ready for bed and I remember was brushing my teeth you know just brushing my teeth brushing my hair and

[00:27:30] I'm looking in the mirror in the mirror I can see you know the shower curtain bathtub all that and I remember I was like brushing my hair and then I looked up and

[00:27:47] I just see someone like you know when they're someone just peeking through the you know the shower curtain like I just see the black hair and like I'm not sure if it was a man or woman

[00:28:01] but I just see someone looking at me peeking so I just look up and I'm just looking at it in the mirror and I just stay frozen um and then like I close I just blinked and it went away thank you

[00:28:28] Nelly for calling in again with another story next message this is david and Sioux Falls South Dakota but I grew up in Connecticut where I grew up in a house that was just not right and um well

[00:28:45] my earliest memory is actually having a spinal meningitis and dying in the hospital and seeing a woman standing over me and then waking up I was about a year old and then when I was a child

[00:28:56] I had significantly older siblings but a sibling my own age um and the younger two would have a babysitter the older ones would be out doing teenager things and it was never them babies

[00:29:06] and ants and it was always the two of us but I remember three times having a babysitter without her distinctly I remember this was supposedly the younger sister of another babysitter we call a CG

[00:29:18] and um anyway this woman young woman um anyway let's just add needed counseling because of a couple experiences with this individual so 30 years later I'm trying to piece together my childhood and make sense of this nightmare and I call my siblings and my three older siblings

[00:29:36] who went to school with CG said CG didn't have a little sister and then my sibling my own age um call her uh KL she's like um David we never had a babysitter alone you were always with me whoever

[00:29:48] this was I'm not telling you didn't happen it just didn't happen the way you remember so fast forward I've I am never slept in the dark till I got married didn't know why

[00:30:01] my father and grandmother also have never slept in the dark and after I got buried um I saw the person again the babysitter in the shadows watching me sleep every so often sometimes closer

[00:30:14] sometimes further never completely in the dark and I was never paralyzed it wasn't sleep paralysis I could move but she'd be just watching me sleep never told me why never said it did grab my arm

[00:30:27] once but she would go away eventually especially if I prayed not that I'm religious anymore um my wife never saw her may now form her wife later I learned that two of my siblings have seen her

[00:30:38] watching them sleep all I know is that since I got divorced and I'm asleep into the light on I haven't seen her again who that was and what that was about I don't know all I know is

[00:30:49] the light you're staying on when I sleep thank you David for your story I'm so glad I listened to this in the afternoon because uh it's still scared me in the middle of the day that's all
