Real Ghost Stories For Long Drives: Gettysburg, a Woman on the Sidewalk, a Hawaiian Spirit, and a Ghost Evicted in New Zealand

Hey it's Michelle, A Civil War battlefield in Pennsylvania. A sidewalk in Orange County at night. A grandmother who came back to say she was not finished. A spirit that followed someone home from Oahu. And a ghost in New Zealand who had opinions about being asked to leave.

This is another classic season 2 compilation episode, bringing together five of the most unforgettable true ghost stories from earlier in the series and from all around the world. And for the first time, this episode is now available as a full video on both Spotify and YouTube, so you can finally watch as well as listen.

Paige from Los Angeles calls in with a true ghost story from her middle school field trip to Gettysburg, one of the most extensively documented paranormal locations in the United States. In three days in July 1863, more than fifty thousand soldiers were killed, wounded, or went missing on that ground. Paige was there to learn about Civil War history. What she encountered on that battlefield went significantly beyond the curriculum, and what she brought home with her afterward made clear that something on that ground had decided to come along.

Roc from Orange County returns with another call. If you have followed Roc's story across the early episodes, you already know about the man shot outside his grandparents' motel, the spirit at the bedroom window at 3 AM, and the phantom phone calls from a disconnected booth. This time, Roc was outside in the middle of the night when he saw a woman crying on the sidewalk. He went toward her because that is what you do. What happened when he got close enough to see her properly is what he called in to tell us about. The question is exactly the right one. What would you do if you saw a woman crying on the sidewalk in the middle of the night?

Dave from Sioux Falls returns with a true ghost story about his grandmother Nonna, whose love apparently did not end when she died. Dave's connection to her was deep enough that when she passed, something of her stayed behind, making itself known in the specific and personal ways that only someone who knew him well could have managed. Nonna's story is one of those true ghost encounters that does not frighten so much as it stays with you because it is fundamentally about love that refuses to recognize the boundary between the living and the dead.

Chelsi from Los Angeles calls in with a haunted house story with an extra layer of difficulty built into it. The house belonged to her mother. The vibes were profoundly off from the moment Chelsi set foot in it. Something was not right and she felt it clearly and consistently every time she was there. Her mother did not feel it. Or did not want to.

Jasmine from Portland calls in with a ghost story from a stay in New Zealand, where the property had an elderly ghost who had decided the space was hers. Jasmine did not accept that arrangement. What she did about it is the heart of this episode, and the consequences of asking a ghost to leave when the ghost has been there considerably longer than you have are something Jasmine describes with the kind of pragmatic directness that makes her call one of the most memorable in the early archive. Some ghosts do not leave quietly.

[00:00:05] [SPEAKER_03]: There was a spirit of an old woman in the closet, trapped in her closet, screaming, you can't get rid of me.

[00:00:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Welcome to Tell Me A Ghost Story, the late night call-in podcast where we delve into the world of the supernatural and explore the eerie and unexplained.

[00:00:35] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm your host, Michelle Newman. This podcast features true stories from our callers that will send shivers down your spine and leave you questioning the existence of the afterlife. So grab a cozy blanket, turn down the lights.

[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm Paige from Los Angeles. When I was a kid, I'm originally from Washington, D.C., we took a school field trip to Gettysburg.

[00:01:12] [SPEAKER_06]: And this is in eighth grade, and I was suffering from a horrible bout of depression. The first real bout of it of my life. And I was really struggling to be around people and even to interact with my classmates.

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_06]: I was also not the world's most popular person, to put it mildly. So the thought of spending time with my classmates on a fucking field trip to Gettysburg Battlefield, you know, it wasn't super appealing to me. But I went.

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Anyway, I feel like it was in winter, so it was cold and rainy. And our bus full of these middle schoolers, you know, arrived at the battlefield.

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_06]: And we were taken on this really long tour all around, you know, the major parts of the battlefield, like a little round top.

[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_06]: We've been studying the Civil War in eighth grade. And so, you know, in some ways it was, I guess, instructive to be there.

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_06]: But for the most part, I just felt really sick and cold and isolated.

[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_06]: But there's one part of the battlefield called the Devil's Den. And the Devil's Den is this sort of group of rocks forming kind of like a punch bowl shape that was a pretty significant part of the battle.

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_06]: And basically, the Union troops had been stationed at the top, and there were Confederate troops that were advancing, and there was a multi-day battle in the Devil's Den.

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_06]: And a lot of people died. It was one of the bloodiest days of the Civil War.

[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_06]: So I went there, you know, and they're talking about all this history.

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_06]: And I suddenly felt this presence.

[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know how to describe it, but it felt like there was this heavy weight around me, and it felt horribly, horribly sad.

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Just, I felt so struck by the fact that I was standing amongst the dead in some way.

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_06]: I felt like I could hear the echoes, the distant echoes of this place and the people that had died there.

[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_06]: And I cried.

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_06]: And when I tried to explain it to anyone, you know, it was the weird girl, right?

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_06]: But when I got home, I learned that the Devil's Den was a place even before the war that people had their suspicions about.

[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_06]: That it was haunted by a giant snake or a giant entity.

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_06]: And it was so evocative, a place that the Civil War photographer Gardner, I forget his name, but something Gardner,

[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_06]: staged a really infamous photograph of a soldier, a Confederate soldier dead in the Devil's Den.

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_06]: And it's incredibly haunting.

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Even looking at that photograph, I feel it now.

[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_06]: This misty weight of death echoing across time.

[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, that's my ghost.

[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you, Paige, for your story.

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_05]: You mentioned this briefly.

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Locals believed that the crevices between the boulders were home to a large snake.

[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_05]: People started calling this snake the Devil.

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_05]: Thus, the rock formation it inhabited became known as the Devil's Den.

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, Michelle, it's me, Rock, again.

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_00]: So I have a scary story to share with everyone.

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_00]: So I remember living with my ex in Ontario, California.

[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_00]: This happened before when everything was semi-farmland.

[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_00]: And this happened on Vineyard.

[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_00]: And I remember coming home one night from the club.

[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_00]: And this was around before Halloween.

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_00]: And it was me, my ex, and two friends of ours.

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_00]: And so we get to the apartment.

[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_00]: And we see a woman crying on the sidewalk.

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_00]: And she has long hair.

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_00]: And she's just crying hysterically.

[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Her cries are echoing throughout the whole neighborhood and on the street.

[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_00]: And surprisingly on that night, it was a full moon.

[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_00]: And it was starting to get a little colder.

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_00]: And there was a mist forming.

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_00]: So one of the girls, her name was Karen, said,

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's a good idea to pull over.

[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Something doesn't feel right about the girl.

[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_00]: So me and my ex and another friend were like,

[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't see why not.

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Like, what's the issue?

[00:07:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe she's lost.

[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe, you know, someone dumped her on the side of the road

[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_00]: because she was super moaning.

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_00]: So I told my ex, I'm like,

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_00]: go ahead and please drive her over.

[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Like, something just doesn't feel right with her.

[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I need to console her and see what's wrong.

[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_00]: So as she, as we pull up, we get out of the car.

[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_00]: And Karen says again,

[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, guys, this doesn't feel right.

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_00]: It just, it feels really odd.

[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_00]: And it feels really weird.

[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_00]: I just can't put my finger on it.

[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_00]: So I approached the lady and I said,

[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, are you okay?

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you need a ride?

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, did you get dropped off or something?

[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_00]: And she just starts bawling her eyes out even more.

[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like, okay, it's really weird.

[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_00]: And I see my friend Karen.

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_00]: And she's just running to the car.

[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_00]: She's like, at this, I'm going to go to the car.

[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_00]: And you just hear the car door slam shut.

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_00]: And she's like, hurry up and get in the car.

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_00]: And I said, no.

[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_00]: And so my ex started running.

[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Like, he just started gunning it to the car.

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_00]: And he was like, nope, nope.

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Something doesn't feel right.

[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_00]: He's like, I'm just going to go in the car.

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_00]: So it was just me and my friend.

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_00]: So the woman starts crying louder and louder

[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_00]: as I'm standing right next to her.

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_00]: And so I kneel down to look at her

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_00]: and move her hair out of her face.

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_00]: And she starts crying even harder.

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_00]: And as she looks up,

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_00]: she looks like she was struck in the head.

[00:08:33] [SPEAKER_00]: She was bleeding.

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_00]: And she started cackling.

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_00]: And she started laughing so hard.

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_00]: I was looking at her and I said, what?

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, why are you laughing?

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I was just so confused.

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And mind you, I was the only sober one out of everybody else.

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody was drunk,

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_00]: but they sobered up the moment that they saw her.

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_00]: So my friend, she starts running towards the car.

[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_00]: And she's like, I'm out of here.

[00:09:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I cannot.

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_00]: This doesn't, this isn't right.

[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Like, we should have listened to Karen.

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, why is everyone running?

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_00]: And this woman just keeps laughing.

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_00]: And she gets up.

[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_00]: She starts standing up.

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_00]: And she starts saying,

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_00]: everybody left me.

[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm alone and I'm cold.

[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_00]: And she's like, just starts laughing hysterically.

[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And then she just disappears right before my eyes.

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_00]: And my friend that jumps in the car,

[00:09:27] [SPEAKER_00]: she looks back and she says,

[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_00]: did this woman just really disappear?

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_00]: She just disappeared right in front of her eyes.

[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Like, what the hell?

[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_00]: She's like, hurry up, Brock, get in the car,

[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_00]: get in the car.

[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_00]: And we were only like,

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_00]: around the corner from the apartment.

[00:09:42] [SPEAKER_00]: And it just kind of puzzled us.

[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_00]: So we went into the apartment and we were all kind of freaked out,

[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_00]: trying to process everything that was going on.

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_00]: We all saw what we saw, correct?

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_00]: And everybody was just kind of like frantic,

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_00]: like hysterical.

[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody was just like, you know what?

[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_00]: We just had a long night.

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_00]: I told everybody, let's just go ahead and stay over

[00:10:01] [SPEAKER_00]: because who knows if you guys were to leave right now,

[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_00]: maybe she'll come back.

[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_00]: So we all slept that night in the apartment

[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_00]: because we were all scared.

[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_00]: So we all huddled up on the floor

[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_00]: because we were just so tired

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_00]: and just shooken by the experience that we had.

[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_00]: So the next day,

[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_00]: as we're walking up

[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_00]: and we were talking about like,

[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_00]: oh, it's really crazy.

[00:10:26] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, we saw the woman

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_00]: and how like the fact that she said that she was scared

[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_00]: and that she was lonely,

[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_00]: just really didn't,

[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_00]: couldn't make any sense of that.

[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_00]: And as we were walking,

[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_00]: this gentleman and this lady was like,

[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_00]: how dare you disrespect my wife like that

[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_00]: and this and this and that.

[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_00]: And he's like,

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_00]: you know, she just passed away.

[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_00]: It just hit us.

[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Like we were like, wait,

[00:10:53] [SPEAKER_00]: I described her exactly from head to toe

[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_00]: what she was wearing.

[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_00]: It turns out it was her husband and her sister.

[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_00]: And I told him,

[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I was like,

[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_00]: well, she's kind of confused.

[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_00]: She wanted to know where she was at,

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_00]: why she was alone,

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_00]: why no one could see her.

[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_00]: And apparently this woman had gotten,

[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_00]: she was unalived by a drive-by,

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_00]: by a gang.

[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_00]: And she was so happened to just

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_00]: walk home from work one day.

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_00]: And as she was walking towards her house,

[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_00]: she got in the middle of these gangs

[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_00]: and took a couple blows to her head.

[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_00]: So I told her husband,

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I said, you know,

[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_00]: I said, just light a white candle.

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Make sure you tell her that she's,

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_00]: that you're going to be taking care of everybody.

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_00]: He was kind of relieved

[00:11:43] [SPEAKER_00]: and her sister was relieved

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_00]: to hear what we had to say.

[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you for your story, Rock.

[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_05]: One question though,

[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_05]: why do you think she was laughing?

[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Was she just relieved you could see her?

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_05]: Or do you think it was something else?

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Michelle, it's Dave.

[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_01]: It's your fault again.

[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_01]: So my grandmother was in a living apartment

[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_01]: connected to our house.

[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_01]: So I saw her every day

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_01]: until I was a teenager.

[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_01]: And then she moved in with my aunt

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_01]: for the last six months

[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_01]: before she finally was gone at 97.

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Wonderful, saintly old lady

[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_01]: who loved everyone,

[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_01]: didn't do much but pray and watch TV

[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_01]: because she was super old

[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_01]: when I was a kid.

[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, hopefully we all get there someday, right?

[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, she passed away.

[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_01]: House burned down.

[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_01]: New house goes up.

[00:12:35] [SPEAKER_01]: And we were convinced

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_01]: every time something strange happened.

[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_01]: No, it was Donna.

[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, non-Italian for Grandma.

[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_01]: So one time my dad's cat goes missing

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_01]: and I said, oh, you know,

[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Grandma's haunting the place.

[00:12:47] [SPEAKER_01]: And he said, sure, right.

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Ma, I'll find the cat.

[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Cat showed up on the front step

[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_01]: the next day, no problem,

[00:12:51] [SPEAKER_01]: after like a week or two.

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Amazing, right?

[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_01]: And then one day I'm out.

[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm out in the boot

[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_01]: and I wanted to go to a parking lot.

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a five or six store,

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know,

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_01]: multi-level parking lot at my job.

[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I can imagine in the daytime

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_01]: for the most part it was pretty well lit

[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_01]: except there was some tree overhang.

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_01]: But I drove over to the side of the parking lot

[00:13:11] [SPEAKER_01]: where a lot of our co-workers

[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_01]: said they wouldn't park.

[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_01]: And I got out of my car

[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_01]: and I'm like, okay, what's going on?

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Because I was just curious

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_01]: about the paranormal, you know?

[00:13:19] [SPEAKER_01]: I was in my mid-20s and pretty stupid.

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_01]: So all of a sudden,

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I knew something was behind me

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_01]: and I was terrified.

[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_01]: So I can't explain it

[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_01]: and someone who doesn't believe in the paranormal

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_01]: would tell me I'm crazy

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_01]: or making it up.

[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_01]: But I hopped in my car.

[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_01]: I drove home like the devil himself was chasing me.

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_01]: I go home, I shut the door.

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_01]: I locked the door.

[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_01]: At the time I was still, you know,

[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_01]: upstairs in my current house

[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_01]: waiting to find a wife.

[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Set the alarm.

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_01]: We all go to bed.

[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Two in the morning,

[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_01]: the alarm goes off.

[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_01]: But there's no evidence of forced entry.

[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_01]: It just looks like something had pushed on,

[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_01]: someone or something

[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_01]: had pushed on the back door.

[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_01]: And something else had pushed the back door back

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_01]: so it didn't open.

[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_01]: But it moved just enough to set the alarm off.

[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Almost like

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_01]: something unseen was trying to get in

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_01]: and Nana was holding it out

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_01]: with all of her goodness and love.

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_01]: I can't explain that any better.

[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Years later,

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_01]: my youngest daughter was in the house

[00:14:22] [SPEAKER_01]: sleeping in an upstairs bedroom

[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_01]: and

[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_01]: she said, you know,

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_01]: sweet old lady said hello to her

[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_01]: and smiled at her

[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_01]: and

[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_01]: she saw a picture of Nana

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_01]: and

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_01]: it was the lady she had seen.

[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_01]: So,

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_01]: you know,

[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_01]: she was at the time

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_01]: five years old.

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Who knows?

[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you, Dave,

[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_05]: for calling in again

[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_05]: with another great story.

[00:14:42] [SPEAKER_05]: No one

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_05]: messes with Nona.

[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Next message.

[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_04]: Hey, Michelle.

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_04]: This is Chelsea

[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_04]: from Los Angeles

[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_04]: and I have a ghost story

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_04]: that I want to share with you.

[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_04]: So,

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_04]: I grew up

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_04]: in Hawaii

[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_04]: on the island of Oahu

[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_04]: and there's

[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_04]: many ghost stories there.

[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_04]: Everyone who lives there

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_04]: has a ton of ghost stories.

[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_04]: When

[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_04]: I lived

[00:15:14] [SPEAKER_04]: in this house

[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_04]: when I was like

[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_04]: in elementary school,

[00:15:17] [SPEAKER_04]: I lived in this house

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_04]: with my mom

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_04]: and younger sisters

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_04]: and

[00:15:22] [SPEAKER_04]: I

[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_04]: felt a ghost

[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_04]: in the house.

[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_04]: And I would tell my mom.

[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_04]: I would, like,

[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_04]: be in bed

[00:15:30] [SPEAKER_04]: and I would

[00:15:30] [SPEAKER_04]: feel a presence

[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_04]: or, like,

[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_04]: hear something

[00:15:33] [SPEAKER_04]: and I would tell my mom

[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_04]: and, of course,

[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_04]: she was like,

[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_04]: it's fine,

[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_04]: there's no ghost.

[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_04]: And I remember

[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_04]: specifically this one time

[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_04]: I, like,

[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_04]: I was home alone

[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_04]: and I literally

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_04]: heard footsteps

[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_04]: and

[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_04]: I was so scared

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_04]: and I, like,

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_04]: go out into the hallway

[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_04]: and there's, like,

[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_04]: no one there

[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_04]: and I just remember

[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_04]: telling my mom

[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_04]: and she never believed me.

[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_04]: So then,

[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_04]: like,

[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_04]: at the end of

[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_04]: middle school

[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_04]: we moved to another house

[00:15:59] [SPEAKER_04]: in, like,

[00:15:59] [SPEAKER_04]: a different location.

[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_04]: I didn't want to move.

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_04]: I was, like,

[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_04]: away from my friends

[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_04]: and it was a different town.

[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_04]: We were with,

[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_04]: moving in with my

[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_04]: mom's new boyfriend

[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_04]: who I didn't really know.

[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_04]: So I was like,

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't really like this house.

[00:16:12] [SPEAKER_04]: But I remember

[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_04]: when I went in the house

[00:16:14] [SPEAKER_04]: I remember feeling

[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_04]: just way more calm.

[00:16:18] [SPEAKER_04]: Like,

[00:16:18] [SPEAKER_04]: okay,

[00:16:20] [SPEAKER_04]: this sucks

[00:16:21] [SPEAKER_04]: but

[00:16:21] [SPEAKER_04]: it feels like

[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_04]: there's no ghost in here.

[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_04]: Literally.

[00:16:26] [SPEAKER_04]: And then

[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_04]: my mom's

[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_04]: friend

[00:16:30] [SPEAKER_04]: and her son

[00:16:31] [SPEAKER_04]: moved into

[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_04]: our old house

[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_04]: like a few months later.

[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_04]: And my mom

[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_04]: later told me

[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_04]: the story

[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_04]: that

[00:16:38] [SPEAKER_04]: there was one night

[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_04]: when

[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_04]: her friend

[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_04]: heard her son

[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_04]: playing

[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_04]: like in his room

[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_04]: late at night.

[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_04]: she would, like,

[00:16:48] [SPEAKER_04]: hear some things

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_04]: like a few times.

[00:16:50] [SPEAKER_04]: But there was one night

[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_04]: when she was like,

[00:16:52] [SPEAKER_04]: why is he awake?

[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_04]: He was like a little boy.

[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_04]: She heard

[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_04]: jumping on the bed

[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_04]: playing with toys.

[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_04]: She wasn't like

[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_04]: there's someone else

[00:17:00] [SPEAKER_04]: in the house.

[00:17:00] [SPEAKER_04]: It was

[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_04]: my son is playing.

[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_04]: And

[00:17:04] [SPEAKER_04]: she went into his room

[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_04]: and

[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_04]: he was completely

[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_04]: asleep.

[00:17:09] [SPEAKER_04]: And so

[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_04]: her friend

[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_04]: was telling her

[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_04]: there's a ghost.

[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_04]: It's like a haunted house.

[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_04]: And

[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_04]: I felt

[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_04]: way more validated

[00:17:18] [SPEAKER_04]: after that.

[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_04]: And then

[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_04]: she did the right thing

[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_04]: which is what you do

[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_04]: in Hawaii

[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_04]: when you

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_04]: move into a new place

[00:17:23] [SPEAKER_04]: or you, like,

[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_04]: have an event.

[00:17:25] [SPEAKER_04]: A lot of people

[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_04]: will hire

[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_04]: a Hawaiian priest

[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_04]: to come and bless

[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_04]: the place.

[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_04]: So my mom's friend

[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_04]: did that

[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_04]: and all was well.

[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you, Chelsea,

[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_05]: for your story.

[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Vibes are the hardest

[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_05]: thing to explain

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_05]: and the easiest

[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_05]: thing for others

[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_05]: to dismiss.

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_05]: When the vibe

[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_05]: is off,

[00:17:47] [SPEAKER_05]: it's off.

[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Get out of there.

[00:17:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Hi,

[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_03]: my name is Jasmine.

[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm calling

[00:17:54] [SPEAKER_03]: from Portland,

[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Oregon,

[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_03]: but my story

[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_03]: actually takes place

[00:17:57] [SPEAKER_03]: in Wellington,

[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_03]: New Zealand.

[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_03]: This was about

[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_03]: seven or eight

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_03]: years ago

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_03]: and I was

[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_03]: working

[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_03]: and living

[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_03]: abroad

[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_03]: and so

[00:18:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I moved in

[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_03]: with a couple

[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_03]: other travelers

[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_03]: and we had

[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_03]: this kind

[00:18:13] [SPEAKER_03]: of funky

[00:18:13] [SPEAKER_03]: apartment

[00:18:15] [SPEAKER_03]: that was

[00:18:15] [SPEAKER_03]: technically

[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_03]: four stories.

[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_03]: The first

[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_03]: floor was

[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_03]: the garage

[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_03]: and then

[00:18:21] [SPEAKER_03]: the second

[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_03]: story was

[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_03]: actually the

[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_03]: entrance to

[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_03]: the house

[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_03]: and it

[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_03]: just had

[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_03]: it was a

[00:18:28] [SPEAKER_03]: small skinny

[00:18:28] [SPEAKER_03]: house so it

[00:18:28] [SPEAKER_03]: had just

[00:18:29] [SPEAKER_03]: two bedrooms

[00:18:29] [SPEAKER_03]: which was

[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_03]: me and my

[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_03]: friend Leanna

[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_03]: and a shared

[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_03]: bathroom

[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_03]: and then

[00:18:34] [SPEAKER_03]: the third

[00:18:34] [SPEAKER_03]: floor was

[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_03]: the living

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_03]: space,

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_03]: the fourth

[00:18:38] [SPEAKER_03]: floor was

[00:18:38] [SPEAKER_03]: the other

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_03]: two bedrooms

[00:18:41] [SPEAKER_03]: and there

[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_03]: was actually

[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_03]: five of us

[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_03]: that lived

[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_03]: there and

[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_03]: we became

[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_03]: very close.

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_03]: We were

[00:18:48] [SPEAKER_03]: attached at

[00:18:48] [SPEAKER_03]: the hip so

[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_03]: we all went

[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_03]: out one

[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Friday or

[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Saturday night.

[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_03]: We're back

[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_03]: home from

[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_03]: the bars.

[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_03]: We are

[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_03]: at our

[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_03]: dining room

[00:18:57] [SPEAKER_03]: table all

[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_03]: just gabbing

[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_03]: about whatever's

[00:19:00] [SPEAKER_03]: on our minds

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_03]: when Leanna

[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_03]: starts talking

[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_03]: about different

[00:19:06] [SPEAKER_03]: experiences that

[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_03]: she's had

[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_03]: with mediumship.

[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Like her

[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_03]: friend's

[00:19:13] [SPEAKER_03]: grandma passing

[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_03]: away and

[00:19:15] [SPEAKER_03]: the grandma

[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_03]: visiting Leanna

[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_03]: in her

[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_03]: dreams and

[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_03]: telling her

[00:19:20] [SPEAKER_03]: things but

[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_03]: it's not all

[00:19:22] [SPEAKER_03]: in her dreams.

[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_03]: She's woken

[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_03]: up and had

[00:19:26] [SPEAKER_03]: someone face

[00:19:27] [SPEAKER_03]: to face with

[00:19:27] [SPEAKER_03]: her body

[00:19:28] [SPEAKER_03]: lying on top

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_03]: of her

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_03]: body,

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_03]: nose to

[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_03]: nose.

[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And she

[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_03]: brought it up

[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_03]: because it

[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_03]: was happening

[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_03]: again to

[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_03]: her.

[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_03]: So she

[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_03]: was having

[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_03]: experiences in

[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_03]: the house

[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_03]: that we were

[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_03]: in.

[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And so then

[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_03]: this brought

[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_03]: up other

[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_03]: people talking

[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_03]: about their

[00:19:45] [SPEAKER_03]: experiences and

[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_03]: even things

[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_03]: that happened

[00:19:47] [SPEAKER_03]: in the

[00:19:48] [SPEAKER_03]: house that

[00:19:48] [SPEAKER_03]: we were

[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_03]: living in.

[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_03]: one of our

[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_03]: friends,

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_03]: one of the

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_03]: group,

[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Kiva,

[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_03]: was like

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_03]: deathly

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_03]: terrified.

[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_03]: In fact,

[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_03]: she kept

[00:19:58] [SPEAKER_03]: telling Leanna

[00:19:58] [SPEAKER_03]: to stop

[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_03]: telling the

[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_03]: stories because

[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_03]: she was so

[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_03]: scared.

[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_03]: We had to

[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_03]: walk her up

[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_03]: to the

[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_03]: fourth floor,

[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_03]: tuck her

[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_03]: into bed.

[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_03]: She had

[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_03]: her purse

[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_03]: still on

[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_03]: her shoulder.

[00:20:08] [SPEAKER_03]: So,

[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_03]: you know,

[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_03]: the next

[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_03]: day,

[00:20:12] [SPEAKER_03]: then Kiva

[00:20:13] [SPEAKER_03]: decides she

[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_03]: buys some

[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_03]: sage.

[00:20:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I was

[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_03]: kind of

[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_03]: like on

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_03]: a witchy

[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_03]: vibe at

[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_03]: so I

[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_03]: was like,

[00:20:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I can

[00:20:20] [SPEAKER_03]: cleanse

[00:20:21] [SPEAKER_03]: this house

[00:20:21] [SPEAKER_03]: for us.

[00:20:22] [SPEAKER_03]: So she

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_03]: goes,

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_03]: she buys

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_03]: sage.

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_03]: worry,

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_03]: use sage

[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_03]: anymore.

[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I know

[00:20:26] [SPEAKER_03]: better now.

[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_03]: And so

[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_03]: the next

[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_03]: day,

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_03]: next evening,

[00:20:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I go

[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_03]: throughout

[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_03]: the house,

[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I start

[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_03]: at the

[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_03]: top floor,

[00:20:34] [SPEAKER_03]: make my

[00:20:34] [SPEAKER_03]: way down,

[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_03]: planning to

[00:20:36] [SPEAKER_03]: end with

[00:20:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Leanna's

[00:20:37] [SPEAKER_03]: room.

[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_03]: You know,

[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_03]: just kind of

[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_03]: like build

[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_03]: up the

[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_03]: energy,

[00:20:40] [SPEAKER_03]: build up

[00:20:40] [SPEAKER_03]: my own

[00:20:40] [SPEAKER_03]: confidence

[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_03]: as I'm

[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_03]: trying to

[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_03]: cleanse the

[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_03]: house,

[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_03]: you know,

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_03]: and saying

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_03]: things like

[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_03]: only positive

[00:20:46] [SPEAKER_03]: spirits may

[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_03]: remain,

[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_03]: stuff like

[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_03]: that.

[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_03]: So I

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_03]: get to

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Leanna's

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_03]: room last

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_03]: and I'm

[00:20:52] [SPEAKER_03]: like a

[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_03]: little nervous,

[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_03]: but I feel

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_03]: confident.

[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_03]: But I

[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_03]: remember

[00:20:57] [SPEAKER_03]: thinking to

[00:20:57] [SPEAKER_03]: myself,

[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_03]: like,

[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_03]: should I

[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_03]: open up

[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_03]: her closet

[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_03]: doors and

[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_03]: specifically,

[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_03]: you know,

[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_03]: cleanse the

[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_03]: closet?

[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was

[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_03]: like,

[00:21:05] [SPEAKER_03]: no,

[00:21:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Jasmine,

[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_03]: it's smoke,

[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_03]: it can

[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_03]: travel,

[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_03]: you don't

[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_03]: need to

[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_03]: actually

[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_03]: open up

[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_03]: the closet,

[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_03]: it'll be

[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_03]: fine.

[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_03]: So I

[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_03]: don't do

[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_03]: it,

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_03]: okay?

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_03]: This is

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_03]: important to

[00:21:15] [SPEAKER_03]: the story

[00:21:15] [SPEAKER_03]: because then

[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_03]: we all

[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_03]: go to

[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_03]: sleep,

[00:21:18] [SPEAKER_03]: it's the

[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_03]: next day

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_03]: and our

[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_03]: next evening,

[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_03]: we're all

[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_03]: done with

[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_03]: work,

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_03]: we're sitting

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_03]: around the

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_03]: table once

[00:21:24] [SPEAKER_03]: again,

[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_03]: chatting,

[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_03]: yapping it

[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_03]: up and

[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_03]: someone remembers

[00:21:29] [SPEAKER_03]: and says,

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_03]: oh,

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Leanna,

[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_03]: you know,

[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_03]: how did you

[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_03]: sleep last

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_03]: night?

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And she's

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_03]: like,

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't want

[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_03]: to talk

[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_03]: about it.

[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_03]: And we're

[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_03]: like,

[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_03]: what?

[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_03]: What do you

[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_03]: mean?

[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_03]: And she's

[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_03]: like,

[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I probably

[00:21:38] [SPEAKER_03]: just,

[00:21:38] [SPEAKER_03]: you know,

[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm intolerant

[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_03]: to milk,

[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure I

[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_03]: just,

[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_03]: you know,

[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I ate

[00:21:43] [SPEAKER_03]: something bad

[00:21:43] [SPEAKER_03]: and that's

[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_03]: why I,

[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_03]: you know,

[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_03]: whatever

[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_03]: happened,

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_03]: happened.

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_03]: And we're

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_03]: like,

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Leanna,

[00:21:47] [SPEAKER_03]: what

[00:21:47] [SPEAKER_03]: happened?

[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_03]: She said

[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_03]: that she

[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_03]: was woken

[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_03]: up and

[00:21:51] [SPEAKER_03]: terrorized in

[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_03]: the night

[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_03]: because there

[00:21:54] [SPEAKER_03]: was the

[00:21:55] [SPEAKER_03]: spirit of

[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_03]: an old

[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_03]: woman in

[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_03]: the closet,

[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_03]: trapped in

[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_03]: her closet,

[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_03]: screaming,

[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_03]: you can't

[00:22:03] [SPEAKER_03]: get rid of

[00:22:03] [SPEAKER_03]: me.

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And,

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_03]: you know,

[00:22:06] [SPEAKER_03]: everyone's

[00:22:06] [SPEAKER_03]: like,

[00:22:07] [SPEAKER_03]: oh my gosh,

[00:22:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Leanna,

[00:22:08] [SPEAKER_03]: and I

[00:22:08] [SPEAKER_03]: have my

[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_03]: hands on

[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_03]: my face.

[00:22:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I am

[00:22:11] [SPEAKER_03]: gobsmacked.

[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't

[00:22:13] [SPEAKER_03]: tell anyone

[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_03]: that I

[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_03]: didn't do

[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_03]: the closet

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_03]: because I

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_03]: genuinely

[00:22:16] [SPEAKER_03]: thought,

[00:22:17] [SPEAKER_03]: oh,

[00:22:17] [SPEAKER_03]: the closet

[00:22:17] [SPEAKER_03]: will be

[00:22:18] [SPEAKER_03]: fine.

[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_03]: It's smoke,

[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_03]: it's air,

[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_03]: it can get

[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_03]: into the

[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_03]: closet.

[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_03]: And so,

[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_03]: you know,

[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_03]: when they

[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_03]: saw my

[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_03]: reaction,

[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_03]: everyone was

[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_03]: like,

[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_03]: what,

[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Jasmine,

[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_03]: what?

[00:22:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And so I

[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_03]: told them,

[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_03]: you know,

[00:22:31] [SPEAKER_03]: that thought,

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_03]: that I

[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_03]: didn't

[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_03]: listen to.

[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And Leanna

[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_03]: was so

[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_03]: mad at me.

[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_03]: And so

[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_03]: then,

[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_03]: who had

[00:22:40] [SPEAKER_03]: to light

[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_03]: the sage

[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_03]: bundle and

[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_03]: then go

[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_03]: back down

[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_03]: to Leanna's

[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_03]: haunted

[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_03]: room,

[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_03]: open up

[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_03]: that closet

[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_03]: where I

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_03]: know there

[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_03]: is a

[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_03]: spirit who

[00:22:50] [SPEAKER_03]: yelled at

[00:22:50] [SPEAKER_03]: her last

[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_03]: night and

[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_03]: saved it

[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_03]: for her.

[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And that

[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_03]: was me.

[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I did

[00:22:54] [SPEAKER_03]: it because

[00:22:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I am

[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_03]: so brave.

[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't

[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_03]: the last of

[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_03]: the ghost

[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_03]: stories that we

[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_03]: experienced

[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_03]: there,

[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_03]: but Leanna

[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_03]: started to

[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_03]: get a little

[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_03]: bit more

[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_03]: peace and

[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_03]: quiet for

[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_03]: sure.

[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_03]: There was

[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_03]: a ghost

[00:23:06] [SPEAKER_03]: that we

[00:23:06] [SPEAKER_03]: named Sally

[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_03]: that we

[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_03]: thought lived

[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_03]: on the

[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_03]: stairs.

[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_03]: And to

[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_03]: make her

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_03]: happy,

[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I would

[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_03]: play that

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_03]: one,

[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_03]: what song

[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_03]: is it?

[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_03]: So

[00:23:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Sally can

[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_03]: wait,

[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_03]: she knows

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_03]: it's too

[00:23:22] [SPEAKER_03]: late as

[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_03]: you're

[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_03]: walking on

[00:23:24] [SPEAKER_03]: by,

[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_03]: whatever,

[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_03]: you know,

[00:23:26] [SPEAKER_03]: from the people

[00:23:26] [SPEAKER_03]: sing,

[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_03]: champagne

[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_03]: supernova.

[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I can't

[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_03]: think of

[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_03]: their names

[00:23:30] [SPEAKER_03]: at all

[00:23:30] [SPEAKER_03]: right now,

[00:23:30] [SPEAKER_03]: but that's

[00:23:31] [SPEAKER_03]: fine.

[00:23:32] [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah,

[00:23:33] [SPEAKER_03]: that's

[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_03]: probably one

[00:23:35] [SPEAKER_03]: of the more

[00:23:35] [SPEAKER_03]: interesting ghost

[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_03]: stories I

[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_03]: have,

[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_03]: but I

[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_03]: too have

[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_03]: some

[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_03]: mediumship

[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_03]: abilities

[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_03]: and have

[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_03]: experienced

[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_03]: some other

[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_03]: things,

[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_03]: so maybe

[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I'll call

[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_03]: in and

[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_03]: talk about

[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_03]: that sometime.

[00:23:46] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah,

[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_03]: that is my

[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_03]: ghost story,

[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_03]: and it is a

[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_03]: good reminder

[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_03]: that if you

[00:23:51] [SPEAKER_03]: are doing

[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_03]: any kind

[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_03]: of cleansing,

[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_03]: if your

[00:23:54] [SPEAKER_03]: intuitive voice

[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_03]: says you

[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_03]: cleanse over

[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_03]: in that

[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_03]: corner,

[00:23:58] [SPEAKER_03]: be sure

[00:23:58] [SPEAKER_03]: to listen

[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_03]: to it,

[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_03]: unless you

[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_03]: want to be

[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_03]: terrorized by

[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_03]: an old lady

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_03]: ghost yelling

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_03]: at you at,

[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_03]: you know,

[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_03]: probably three

[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_03]: in the morning.

[00:24:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you,

[00:24:08] [SPEAKER_05]: Jasmine,

[00:24:09] [SPEAKER_05]: for your story.

[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_05]: That song you

[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_05]: were thinking

[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_05]: of is Don't

[00:24:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Look Back

[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_05]: in Anger

[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_05]: by Oasis,

[00:24:14] [SPEAKER_05]: you know,

[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_05]: that band

[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_05]: with the famous

[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_05]: feuding brothers

[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Noel and Liam

[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Gallagher.

[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Weirdly enough,

[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_05]: I've found

[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_05]: several articles,

[00:24:23] [SPEAKER_05]: including one

[00:24:24] [SPEAKER_05]: by the BBC,

[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_05]: talking about

[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_05]: how Noel

[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_05]: would go out

[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_05]: of his way

[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_05]: to tease

[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_05]: and torment

[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_05]: his brother

[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Liam by

[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_05]: moving furniture

[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_05]: around and

[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_05]: pretending to be

[00:24:32] [SPEAKER_05]: a ghost.

[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_05]: That's all we

[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_05]: have this week,

[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_05]: folks.

[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Do you have

[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_05]: a ghost story?

[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_05]: Call

[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_05]: 701-484-2666.

[00:24:49] [SPEAKER_05]: That's 701-484-2666.

[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Or,

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_05]: go to

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_05]: tellmeaghoststory.com

[00:25:00] [SPEAKER_05]: and leave

[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_05]: your story there.

[00:25:02] [SPEAKER_05]: Go ahead

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_05]: and leave me

[00:25:04] [SPEAKER_05]: a five-star review

[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_05]: wherever you

[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_05]: get your podcasts.

[00:25:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Was something

[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_05]: particularly scary

[00:25:09] [SPEAKER_05]: in this episode?

[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Or maybe you've

[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_05]: had a similar

[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_05]: experience?

[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Leave your

[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_05]: comments via

[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_05]: our Spotify

[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_05]: page.

[00:25:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you to

[00:25:18] [SPEAKER_05]: all the callers

[00:25:18] [SPEAKER_05]: who left

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_05]: messages this

[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_05]: week.

[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_05]: And as always,

[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm your host,

[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Michelle Newman,

[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_05]: signing off.

[00:25:26] [SPEAKER_05]: See you next
