[00:00:02] Welcome to Tell Me A Ghost Story, the late night call in podcast where we delve into the world of the supernatural and explore the eerie and unexplained. I'm your host Michelle Newman. This podcast features true stories from our callers that will send shivers down your spine
[00:00:34] and leave you questioning the existence of the afterlife. So grab a cozy blanket, turn down the lights. Hi Michelle, my name is Gabby Sandra. I currently live in Tennessee but last year I was living in Texas and I heard your last
[00:00:56] episode and you said you needed to ask what is going on in Texas and I figure out what to take my stories here. In 2022 we were house hunting, just looking for a home to live and we came across this
[00:01:10] house with a property in a small town in Texas called Levita. So we went to check it out and when we got there my daughter didn't want to go in for some reason. She's 12 years old, she's not a little kid. We were like okay just stay outside.
[00:01:27] As soon as we got in the house now like something was rotten, the vibe was just weird. So we just pulled the whole house and when we are looking at the last room we hear my daughter scream.
[00:01:44] We wanna find out what's going on and she is so pale and she tells me I just saw a woman getting right in front of me and when I looked at her she disappeared. You know maybe it's just your imagination or you're nervous because you were alone outside
[00:02:00] and she swears to say that it was true and she's never been one to make stuff up like that and that never happened to her before. So when I got to where we used to live I just went on the internet started looking
[00:02:14] out the information about the house and I found out that the former owner of the building had passed that house because the town doesn't have a hospital or anything. It's so small but it's only a church, a few houses and like a fire department.
[00:02:31] So I asked her to explain me how the lady looks like or looked like and the way that she tried that she said she had like a white dress, she was very pale, didn't look super old but running around the house and then which she saw her daughter
[00:02:50] she just went away and then I looked at teachers from her owner and the lady looked the same way that my daughter described. And so I believe my daughter saw the ghost of the former owner of the house.
[00:03:07] She had passed a few months before we went there to see the house so it was pretty scary. I don't mention it so hard because that's never happened to me before and I don't want to freak it out.
[00:03:23] Thank you Alexandra for your story and I'll say it again, something's going on in Texas. Dear listener, I realize I asked you to share something weekly that's very personal and I haven't shared one of my own experiences in a while.
[00:03:41] When I moved to Los Angeles I lived in an old lady's pool house. It was kind of a cross between the house from Boogie Nights and Great Gardens. There was a pool with a Greek statue by it and a water slide. There was wood paneling everywhere.
[00:04:01] There was like a grand gated entrance that you had to hit a button to allow people into the property with. I had enough room to have an art studio. I had made it a very nice space for people to come and visit.
[00:04:15] And to the outside it was a lot of fun. People didn't know that I had rats or the fact that I had no windows in the main room or an oven. So there was no temperature control because I had no windows
[00:04:29] and then I couldn't really cook anything because there was no oven. I found out later that the house was actually built in 1895 which is crazy to think about since it seemed like it was pure 70s. At night I'd go to bed and the walls were very thin
[00:04:53] so I could hear anything that was outside, inside, and anything that was inside was extra loud like rats in the ceiling. I didn't sleep very well there ever. I was always kind of anxious because it always sounded like something was on the outside of the house.
[00:05:18] It put me into fight or flight. And there were definitely rats in the ceiling which still gives me chills to think about. But every night I would feel something crawl up the bed and there would be depressions in the bed covers that something would crawl up
[00:05:40] and hold my hand. And it's funny because of all the other things that were going on in that house something invisible didn't bother me. My response was just pull my hand back and yell, No! Knock it off! And then I put my hand under the covers.
[00:06:04] Which in hindsight is like some brave bravado that I had. I guess I was also so scared of rats. I mean I still have a crippling fear of rats. I lived there for five years.
[00:06:19] And at one point it happened so frequently all the noises outside the windows in the bedroom. You know, it always sounded like people were walking but you know honestly that could have been animals.
[00:06:36] But yeah like through the windows in the bedroom I always felt like I was being watched. Honestly to just try and get a good night's sleep I started... Well number one I kept it super clean to keep rats out and bugs.
[00:06:53] Number two I started to palo santo hang the house every week and honestly that kept whatever it was out. It stayed out you know for the most part. That's all we have this week folks. Do you have a ghost story? Call 701-484-2666. That's 701-484-2666.
