[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Some people have one, but I have two.

[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_06]: The neighborhood I live in is called Oak Cliff in Dallas.

[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_06]: It's an old historic neighborhood.

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_06]: And so at the time it was a two-story house with four units, so two upstairs and two downstairs.

[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_06]: And then the owners had a downstairs basement.

[00:01:17] [SPEAKER_06]: And there was a street that basically drove straight towards our house.

[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_06]: It was across street.

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_06]: It was during the middle of the week.

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_06]: I was at my creative studio at the time working and I get a message from my landlord that said,

[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_06]: hey Tyler, something terrible has happened.

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Don't come home.

[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_06]: And he just sent me a photo of some police tape and some stuff like that.

[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I got the eyewitness account from my neighbor across the street.

[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_06]: And this car, I think it was an old Chevy trailblazer, like an old 90s SUV or something,

[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_06]: started about a mile down the road, picking up speed, blew through two stop signs, went through

[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_06]: our stop sign, going about they estimate 85 to 90 miles per hour.

[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_06]: And slams into our downstairs neighbor's parked car.

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_06]: So it's parked parallel with the house, flips both cars into our building, kills all three people instantly,

[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_06]: smashes the front facade of our building and literally sprays blood and guts everywhere.

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_06]: All over the building, all over the side, there were pools of blood on the sidewalk,

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_06]: just instant carnage and death.

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_06]: From what we've gathered, I don't have the full story, but from what we pieced together

[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_06]: from conversations and people in the neighborhood that there was a love triangle going on between

[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_06]: an 80-something year old man and two 60-something early 70-year-old women.

[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_06]: And whether they were aware of this love triangle or not is unknown.

[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_06]: All that we know is that one of the women was driving a car with him in it and this other woman.

[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_06]: And from what we know, it was sort of, well, if I can't have you,

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm taking you all out sort of situation.

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_06]: So I come home to find, to see this scene of wreckage.

[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_06]: There's still police around and they're asking me questions and all this kind of stuff.

[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_06]: We're trying to figure it out.

[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_06]: So of the five units in the building, mine was the only one that didn't get damaged.

[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_06]: I think I had one cracked window or something and it was, you know, cracking the foundation.

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_06]: It was a whole, there were conversations about are we going to have to demolish the building?

[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_06]: So everyone else loses their home essentially because it was condemned as a police scene.

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_06]: Anything, any of the units that were damaged, they couldn't live in because of insurance and all

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_06]: this. So mine was, mine was deemed okay to live in. But there was no power because all the

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_06]: power had been knocked out. At the time I was a struggling freelance photographer.

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_06]: I didn't have, you know, anywhere else to go for a period of about a month.

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know. I guess you'd call it glamping, right?

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Camping in my own apartment with no power or running water.

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_06]: So if I wanted to use the toilet, I'd have to go downstairs and go outside of the neighbor's house,

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_06]: fill up buckets with the hose, you know, fill up the back of the toilet, whatever.

[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_06]: And at this point they had boarded up the front of the house and I had caught people trying to

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_06]: break in a couple of times. I just continued to feel, you know, there was just like a weird

[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_06]: fight there. I was the only one in the building at night. There's all these weird sounds.

[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm still paranoid. Like it was that noise, someone trying to break in. I came outside

[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_06]: one night and there were three kind of teenagers, two, one younger girl who was probably like 14 or

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_06]: something. And then, you know, an older guy who's probably 19. And, you know, they were in the

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_06]: dark. I couldn't really see who they were, but they were out in the front. And I came outside

[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_06]: and I shined a light on them. And all of them ran except for this little girl. They were

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Hispanic and Mexican American. And I said, Hey, you know, just sorry. But obviously

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_06]: we've had people trying to break in and she had put flowers down and she was lighting

[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_06]: one of those prayer candles. And she said, well, sorry, you know, I don't know, I'm trying to

[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_06]: trespass or whatever, but this was my aunt and her brother or cousin. I didn't really ask a bunch

[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_06]: of questions. So I don't know what their exact relationship was, but they were obviously related.

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_06]: And he was like, come on, let's go. We need to get out of here. And she was like, no,

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_06]: I want to light this. And he was like, leave it that lady was crazy anyway.

[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_06]: And I was like, well, what do you mean? And he said, Oh, she was in the Luka man. She was in

[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_06]: a sanaria and all this kind of stuff. Apparently this lady was kind of into the occult.

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_06]: And so over the course of the next few weeks, things just started to get weird and weird.

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_06]: I would wake up in the middle of the night. I felt like something was just crushing my chest,

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_06]: just pressing down on my chest. I would wake up with my heart racing. My hair would stand up on

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_06]: but just murderous evil vibes. And it started off as just that. I was like, oh no,

[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm just whatever. I'm being paranoid and being scared. I'm scared by myself, whatever.

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_06]: But I started to hear weird noises, things falling off the counters, cabinets slamming.

[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, waking up feeling like I was being, I want to say like spiritually assaulted,

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know what else you call it, right? It's not a physical sensation, but it's not one that

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_06]: obviously you can see. Eventually the power was turned back on just in my unit.

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_06]: And all the other units were being renovated. I was sitting in my living room and watching

[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_06]: a movie or something. And I heard the cabinets in the kitchen just opening and slamming and

[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_06]: opening slamming. And I, well, I heard the slam. I didn't know what it was and I went into kitchen

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_06]: and saw it one more time. It opened slamming shut. And I was like, fuck this. I'm like, I'm out.

[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_06]: And so I just started to pack my stuff up that night. I was like, I'm not going to stay here.

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_06]: I called a friend and it got to the point where I was, there was this sort of non-denominational

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_06]: priest. And I just said, Hey man, wow, this is some weird, but do you,

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_06]: you know, if I chance to do exorcisms or blessings or communities like a holy water situation,

[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_06]: there's something weird going on here. Like there's this lady that this guy pretty much said was

[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_06]: a witch. She murdered these two other people. Her guts were splattered around the inside of my

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_06]: apartment. And I feel like maybe she's haunting me because I'm the only one here.

[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_06]: And he was like, yeah man, I mean, we can figure something out and you know,

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_06]: I'll come by whatever in next week. And that's next week. How about like tomorrow?

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Anyways, I go back the next day and it's kind of dark. And I pull into my driveway and like,

[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_06]: all right, I'm going to give this one more shot. I'm going to go in and just see if

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_06]: anything happens. And as I pull into my driveway, all the lights in the downstairs turn on.

[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Just and as I see that of like a figure walks by the window and I'm just holy

[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_06]: shit. I am not going in there and I'm like about to start my car to get out of there.

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_06]: And then a guy walks out the front door and then he walks up and he's like, Hey man,

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_06]: my name is Keith. I just moved into the place downstairs. He just wanted to come say hi.

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_06]: I was like, Oh, okay. So you're human. That's good. And so I didn't mention to him all of this stuff

[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_06]: and the fact that like tomorrow, the Unitarian priest was going to show up to bathe the witch

[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_06]: blood off my walls. Didn't mention that to him. And basically everything stopped. It was like,

[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_06]: once there was another person there, she moved on or decided, you know, hunting two men was,

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_06]: you know, not as good as one. I don't know. But there were no issues after that.

[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_06]: But for, you know, three to four weeks there, I was the I was the solo

[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_06]: inhabitant and it got it got pretty dark. And yeah, I just I didn't I didn't experience

[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_06]: anything else. So yeah, good old good old Keith, just the wholesome Kansas boy moved in downstairs

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_06]: and he was like, you know what, he's a good guy. I'm going to take off. Thank you, Tyler for your

[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_00]: story. It sounds like it could have been some sort of succubus spirit that had been attached to

[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_00]: that woman and was trying to attach itself to you when you were alone and vulnerable.

[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Next message. My name is Gabby. This story happened in San Antonio, Texas.

[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_01]: In something I want to say about 2016 2017, I clearly remember. So I'm an early bird. I used to

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_01]: get up pretty early this particular morning. I was drinking my morning cup of coffee sitting

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_01]: down, drinking my coffee. All of a sudden I literally hear footsteps in the hallway. So I got up to go

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_01]: see if there was any of my kids when this happened. Nope. None of my kids was struggling off water.

[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_01]: But then another time when I was washing dishes from the corner of my eye, I literally

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_01]: see a shadow that go from like in the living room to the hallway. I want to go see nothing, nothing at all.

[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Another time that I heard something weird, my kids were in the living room. I was in the kitchen

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_01]: making breakfast for myself and my kids and my husband, he was at work. And I was saying,

[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_01]: I heard one of my kids say something about a woman. I'm like, what woman? I clearly heard

[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_01]: clearly heard literally somebody say hello. I literally heard a woman's voice. I asked my brother

[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_01]: if he had his girlfriend over. He said no. So that was very weird. Very, I was kind of odd.

[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Another time we saw me and my husband, we were in the kitchen. And I thought

[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_01]: we heard my son crying or our son crying. When we went to go check, he was

[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_01]: very, very weird. A lot of weird things happened in this home.

[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, my name is Carl and I'm from a small town in Texas called Vienna. Our church was divided into

[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_02]: two different buildings pretty much. One of them was outside the main church. And that's kind of

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_02]: where we were to go to, you know, just kind of hang out, maybe have some food or something.

[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, there was nobody there. It was just me, my cousins, and I think maybe one other friend.

[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_02]: And so we're like, hey, let's go in there. Let's turn all the lights out and play hide and

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_02]: seek. Hide and get the tag or whatever. It's a really, yeah, that's a good idea. So

[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_02]: before we get in here, we're playing, we'll play like two games, something like that.

[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm sitting there beside my cousin and I look up at the stairs because this second building

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_02]: had upstairs in the bottom or first floor and second floor. And we had that top light on upstairs.

[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Now look up there, and there's this man just standing up there at the top. It was like a

[00:13:36] [SPEAKER_02]: shadow figure, I guess you'd say, and it had like a hat on. And then it's slower body,

[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_02]: it could almost kind of like fade it out, but it looked like he hasn't kind of coat on.

[00:13:47] [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm sitting there looking at this thing, but it was like he was sitting up there watching us.

[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_02]: And he kind of disappeared after a second or so. I turned to my cousin and I'm like,

[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_02]: did you see that? And she's like, see what? And I was like, never mind. I thought I saw

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_02]: somebody standing up there and she's like, okay, that's like really freaky because

[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_02]: they kind of ended that thing. I'm like, yeah, there's. And so a little bit later she's like,

[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_02]: oh my God. And I'm like, what? What? She's like, I just saw it. And she kind of described it to me

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_02]: and I was like, yeah, that's it. That's it. And I'm like, I told you so. That's how we turn all

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_02]: the lights on and we get out of there. Thanks for calling in Carl. I wonder if anyone else

[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_05]: San Antonio. I haven't really been able to tell anybody the story,

[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_05]: like without like laughing or getting stupid. A long story short, I moved in with my partner

[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_05]: and we're living together. And I've always noticed how eerie and kind of weird her home was.

[00:15:10] [SPEAKER_05]: And it was a small apartment. So for me, it being really small made it scarier for them

[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_05]: reason because I felt like I couldn't hide from that feeling of being watched.

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Just a very weird atmosphere. So there was one night I was taking a shower

[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_05]: and I'm missing out my hair and you always get that one funny story.

[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Are you sure that one thing where it's like, oh, you know, you close your eyes,

[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_05]: you need to take a shower and you start getting all these weird thoughts in your head,

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_05]: like, oh my God, someone's watching me. In the midst of doing that,

[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_05]: I felt full on palm fingers hand, like all of the whole, like someone's hand

[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_05]: from the top of my back all the way to my hip, like all like down my spine. I felt someone like

[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_05]: grabbing me and so me thinking like it's my partner. I smacked the hand away and I'm like,

[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_05]: oh my God, babe, only to like finish my hair. I look around and no one is around.

[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_05]: The door solution is open, but we have glass sliding doors. So I would have heard

[00:16:18] [SPEAKER_05]: my partner come in through those both doors. Like it was a really weird experience and I don't,

[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_03]: I currently live in Tennessee, but last year I was living in Texas and I heard your last

[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_03]: episode and you said you needed to ask what is going on in Texas. And I figure out what to do with

[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_03]: my story here. In 2022, we were housed hunting, just looking for a home to buy. And we came across

[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_03]: this house with a property and a small town in Texas called LaVita. So we went to check it out

[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_03]: and when we got there, my daughter didn't want to go in for some reason. She's 12 years old.

[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_03]: She's not a little kid. We were like, okay, just stay outside.

[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_03]: As soon as we got in the house now, like something was brought in,

[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_03]: the vibe was just weird. So we just pulled the whole house and when we are looking at the last room,

[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_03]: we hear my daughter scream. We want to find out what's going on and she is so pale

[00:17:47] [SPEAKER_03]: and she tells me, I just saw a woman getting right in front of me and when I looked at her,

[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_03]: she just appeared. Now, maybe it's just your imagination or you're nervous because we're

[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_03]: long outside and she swears to say that it was true and she's never been one to make stuff

[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_03]: up like that and that's never happened to her before. So when I got to where we used to

[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_03]: live, I just went on the internet started looking out information about the house and

[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I was looking at how to pass that house because the town doesn't have a hospital or anything. It's

[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_03]: so small but it's only the church of few houses and like a fire department. So I asked her to

[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_03]: explain me how the lady looks like or looked like and the way that she tried this, she said

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_03]: she had like a white dress, she was very pale, didn't look super old but running around the house and

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_03]: then when she saw her daughter, she just poofed away and then I looked at pictures of her owners

[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_03]: and the lady looked the same way that my daughter described. And so I believe my daughter

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_03]: saw the ghost of the former owner of the house. She had passed a few months before we

[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_03]: went there to see the house so it was pretty scary. I don't mention it so hard because that's

[00:19:15] [SPEAKER_03]: never happened to me before. I mean I don't want to forget how. Thank you Alexandra for your story

[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm from Austin, Texas but this ghost story actually happened in Mainer, Texas.

[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_04]: I used to date this guy that lived in a house where the original, one of the original homeowners

[00:19:48] [SPEAKER_04]: passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack in the living room and he was renting one of the

[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_04]: rooms in there along with two other roommates and I had heard stories about them experiencing

[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_04]: little things here and there but nothing definitive. You know that I had seen personally with my own

[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_04]: eyes or anything like that. And then one day I remember my boyfriend and I were on the phone

[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_04]: together and he was sitting in his room and he was using the Xbox One game console and he

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_04]: was using the infrared camera mode that basically showed the infrared camera back at the player

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_04]: and he was saying how he saw a solid black orb when he was using the infrared mode and it was just

[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_04]: you know going all over the room and just it was very unusual and I was just like okay you know

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_04]: like again I didn't witness it personally so I kind of just I thought he was being dramatic or

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_04]: something and then a few days later I went to his house and we were in his room and he

[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_04]: wanted to show me because you know I guess he thought that I would I didn't believe him fully

[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_04]: or I'm not sure and we were you know we turned on the infrared mode and sure enough there was

[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_04]: nothing in the room that was as pitch black as this perfectly spherical little orb only one

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_04]: and the way that it moved it was not a dust particle it was not anything else it literally

[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_04]: moved like if it had purpose or life or something like it was it would you know

[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_04]: change speeds it would dart in and it would zip in and out of the sliding closet doors it would you

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_04]: know hover above it's going on it was like nothing I've ever seen before or after in my entire life

[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_04]: I know a lot of people came to see like spirit orbs and things like that and it just was

[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_04]: like something floating mindlessly through a camera or in front of a camera but this is not

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_04]: how that was and I looked online to see if I could ever find anything that would that even

[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_04]: came close and that anybody else was witness and I never have ever and it's not anything that was

[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_04]: like particularly like crazy but I'm 100% sure that like whatever I saw was paranormal and I

[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_04]: have never been able to say that about anything ever since then or before then so pretty unusual

[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_00]: thank you Lauren for your story I did some digging about orbs for the listeners

[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_00]: I used to be a photographer too so spirit orbs I've always found kind of fascinating and so

[00:22:31] [SPEAKER_00]: I just wanted to know how to tell the difference between dust and a spirit orb and this is what

[00:22:37] [SPEAKER_00]: I found number one your intuitive senses often your intuition is the best at determining whether

[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_00]: a spirit energy is present which is true the body does know number two the brighter and more

[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_00]: dense the orb appears the more likely it is to be a spirit the lighter and fuzzier the orb

[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_00]: the more likely it is to just be a dust particle number three spirit orbs may have an outer ring

[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_00]: or several rings within the orb number four the color dust particles are usually just one color

[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_00]: whereas spirit orbs can appear to be many colors granted there's no exact science to this

[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_00]: I also found descriptions of what each color of orb mean orbs that appear to be white silver

[00:23:22] [SPEAKER_00]: yellowish translucent are generally considered spirits that are trying to communicate with you

[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_00]: green orbs may indicate nature spirits or that healing energy is present

[00:23:35] [SPEAKER_00]: blue orbs are very protective and could also indicate an apparent guardian angel

[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_00]: but darker orbs that appear blackish or brown like in Lauren's case can apparently indicate
